Fitzroy Crossing - Kununurra

This project entailed the comprehensive set up and commissioning of the Kimberley Mobile Camp, requiring meticulous planning and execution to ensure seamless operations.

To kickstart the project, thorough Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and Take 5 assessments were conducted, with all necessary permits obtained prior to mobilization. Upon arrival at the site, our team established the work area, implementing appropriate signage and barricading for safety and efficiency.

The scope included the hook up and commissioning of various facilities, including accommodation trailers, dry mess trailers, laundry facilities, office spaces, and generator trailers.

During construction, attention to detail was paramount. This involved reinstating acrow props, extending walkways and handrails, securing them in place, and ensuring all appliances were unstrapped and leveled. Additionally, fire safety measures were rigorously implemented, with the testing and tagging of fire extinguishers and installation of new signage to enhance safety protocols.

Accommodation trailers underwent extensive plumbing and electrical works. Plumbing tasks included connecting waste pipes to supplied sewer points, installing new hot water units, tapware, shower roses, and toilet cisterns. Meanwhile, electrical tasks involved connecting trailers to distribution boards, replacing exhaust fans, air conditioning units, LED lights, TV remotes, and ensuring all electrical connections were secure.

Throughout the project, a keen focus was placed on quality assurance, with thorough testing of all works conducted to ensure functionality and compliance.

By meticulously executing each task, our team ensured the successful hook up and commissioning of the camp, providing a safe, functional, and comfortable living environment for its occupants.
