Onslow Bike Park Facility

The Shire of Ashburton was seeking to engage a suitably qualified and experienced Contractor for the design, documentation and construction of Onslow Bike Park, Onslow, WA. Due to the success of the 2021 Tom Price Bike Park and the 2024 Paraburdoo Bike Park Project, the Shire of Ashburton has granted Byblos this contract.

The new Bike Park development will include several exciting features to enhance the experience for all users. Firstly, there will be a new Pump Track, which is a circuit of rollers, banked turns, and features designed to be ridden completely by riders generating momentum by up and down body movements, instead of pedalling or pushing. Additionally, a Trail Head will be established, serving as the starting point for various trails and providing essential information and facilities for riders.

The development will also feature a Learn to Ride track, specifically designed for beginners to practice and improve their riding skills in a safe and controlled environment. To support these features, underground services will be installed to ensure proper drainage and utility connections. New overhead lighting will be added to enhance visibility and safety during evening hours.

Furthermore, the park will include reticulated landscaping, which involves the installation of an irrigation system to maintain the greenery and overall aesthetics of the park. Other associated siteworks will be carried out to ensure the park is fully functional and meets the needs of the Onslow community upon completion in October 2025.
