With the success of the Yandi Village Refurbishment Project, Byblos Constructions have been awarded a contract to update and enhance the living conditions of FIFO workers at the Jundunmunnah Village.  The project, which includes extensive renovations to the entire 696-room camp, will revitalise lodging and utilities areas, to better support mining operations and enhance the standards of living for residents.

Numerous internal and external works are included in the renovation, including demolition, structural upgrades, wall lining replacement, painting, cabinetry, and the installation of new vinyl flooring. A full refurbishment of the plumbing, mechanical, and electrical systems is also being undertaken.

The Scope of works includes the installation of self-contained site facilities for the project team and material laydown, supply and logistics of all new materials (other than company supplied items), project management services, and supply of all required machinery, labour, tooling and equipment.

The success of this project depends on meticulous preparation and execution of the work, all while causing the least amount of disturbance to the village residents as possible and working between strict noise curfew time frames. This entails establishing the site thoroughly, providing personnel with suitable transportation, and investing in access equipment.

Measures for dust control, site cleaning, and the remediation of mold-affected areas are being implemented, as safety and the environment are of paramount significance. Upon completion of the project, we will ensure that all of the rooms are available for usage immediately and that the final room setups are completed to a high standard.

The projects’ focus on minimising disruptions to daily activities, rigorous adherence to noise regulations, and meticulous cooperation with Village Operations demonstrates the dedication to preserving the standard of living for the residents during the renovation process.
